Information kring grundförstärkning:
Hösten 2025 kommer nationen att stänga nationshuset då det behövs en grundförstärkning av huset samt en renovering av första våningen. Planen är att börja någon gång i början av oktober men exakt datum är inte satt än. En grundförstärkning behövs då marken där huset
står inte är lika stabil som på andra platser vilket skapar sprickor i huset när marken rör sig.
Ingen del av verksamheten under vårterminen 2025 eller sommaren 2025 kommer att påverkas av grundförstärkningen. Vi ser fram emot vårens traditionella gasquer, ett Valborg i linje med tidigare valborgsfiranden och en sommar med ett härligt häng på Bryggan.
Denna grundförstärkning betyder inte att verksamheten läggs ner under tiden för projektet. Verksamheten planeras att fortgå med liknande utformning som nu men i andra lokaler och i viss mån på annat sätt. Man kommer fortsätta att kunna njuta av maten från bistron, goda drycker, bruncher, luncher med mera i det anslutande huset Brundisium. Tisdagar kommer att fortsätta ha en stor betydelse för nationen, mer om det kommer närmare inpå.
Den stora frågan är såklart – hur lång tid kommer projektet att ta? Nationshuset kommer att hålla stängt från början av oktober och året ut samt delar av vårterminen. Ambitionen är att öppna upp till Valborg 2026 men mer exakt datum kommer i ett senare skede när projektet är igång. Förhoppningen är att inte en hel termin, varken höstterminen 2025 eller vårterminen 2026 ska helt påverkas av grundförstärkningen.
Information regarding foundation underpinning:
In the fall of 2025 there will be a foundation underpinning of the Nation house and a remodelling of the first floor. The plan is to begin the work and renovation during the beginning of October this fall but an exact date has not yet been set. A foundation
underpinning is necessary because the ground on which the house stands is not as stable as in other places, which causes cracks in the building when the ground shifts.
This means that no part of the activities during the spring of 2025 or the summer of 2025 will be affected by the foundation underpinning. We look forward to the traditional gasques of the spring, a Valborg celebration in line with previous years, and a summer filled with great times at Bryggan. Tuesdays will continue to be of great importance to the nation, more details will be shared closer to the date.
This foundation underpinning does not mean that the nation’s activities will be shut down during the project. The activities are planned to continue in a similar format as normal but in
different premises and to some extent in other ways. Guests will still be able to enjoy food from the bistro, delicious drinks, brunches, lunches, and more in the adjacent building, Brundisium.
Of course the biggest question is – how long will the project take? The nation building will be closed from the beginning of October and remain closed throughout the rest of the year as well as parts of the spring semester. The ambition is to reopen in time for Valborg 2026, but a more exact date will be announced later once the project is underway.
