Student housing

Students currently enrolled in Södermanlands-Nerikes nation and matriculating at Uppsala University are eligible to apply for housing by Stiftelsen Södermanlands-Nerikes Nations Studentbostäder.

Rooms are designed for one resident and apartments for two adult residents. While the student is permitted to have a guest for short periods of time, extended visits are not permitted.

The application is valid for six months; expired applications are deactivated. Renew your application within six months by visiting the application page and log-in using your civic registration number (personnummer) and password. The first time you log-in, click beställ nytt/glömt lösenord to receive an email with your password. Applications to be considered must be submitted to Bostadskontoret the last business day of every month preceding the room draw.

Room draw/assignments usually takes place the second week of every month (except July) at the Snerikes house (ballroom or turret) at S:t Olofsgatan 16. Time, date and place of the room draw are announced on the homepage. Bring your university certificate of registration (certificate of admission in August and July), student identity card and personal identity document to the room draw.

Each month has a separate waiting list. The following priority system will be used at all times when placing an application on the waiting list:

  1. The number of semesters enrolled at Södermanlands-Nerikes nation. Only the last ten years and no more than 12 semester will be considered.
  2. Members earning nation points (nationspoäng) by Stipendienämnden are eligible for adding one extra semester per ten nation points. No more than 15 semesters will be considered in total (i.e. no more than three extra semesters may be added).
  3. Applicants having sole or joint legal custody of a child are eligible for adding three extra semesters to their application. This is only true for apartment leasing. No more than 12 semesters will be considered.

This application must include a copy of your student identity card, a certificate of registration testifying to your studying at least half-time, and a transcript of results testifying to previous study results. First-year students and members employed at least part-time 50% in the nation during the previous semester are exempt from the last demand.
